Do you want to be part of developing the Navy's amphibious systems into the future? The Navy Staff's Technology and Maintenance Department (TVA), with the sub-unit Amphibious Materiel Section, is the driving force for the procurement and maintenance of materiel for the amphibious system. The section is looking for a Materiel System Manager (MSM) to be responsible for the procurement of technical systems.

TVA Marine is a department within the Navy Staff's Materiel Office (MtrlK).

The primary purpose of the Navy Materiel Office is to support the Chief of the Navy by ensuring that the Navy's materiel possesses the capabilities over time that each combat unit needs. This means that TVA must support the creation of conditions for materiel to be procured, available to the units, and system-worthy to the decided level.

MtrlK needs to be supplemented with additional staff.

We are now looking for a Materiel System Manager (MSM) for the Amphibious System.

As a Materiel System Manager, you will:

• Be responsible for the procurement of the Amphibious System
• Support system and materiel deliveries
• Contribute to meeting requirements for operational security, secrecy, working environment, system security, consideration of the external environment, supervision, and reporting for the Swedish Armed Forces' (Navy's) materiel
• Support the Materiel Area Manager for Amphibious (MOA Amf) and the Navy Staff in decisions regarding amphibious production
• Participate in various forums such as the Technical Council and user meetings
• Act as the Navy Staff's contact person towards the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) regarding amphibious production, primarily focused on contacts with project managers

The work involves close collaboration within TVA, with project managers at the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, units, and industry.

The main workplace is Muskö, but a large part of the work takes place at FMV. Travel is included in the position.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed and approved officer or specialist officer education
• At least SO7 or alternatively OF2
• Documented experience of amphibious units and technical systems
• Good administrative skills and knowledge of parts of the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Category B driver's license

The work requires that you have high integrity and are proactive with good judgment. You are meticulous and unpretentious, which also means that you are a good team player. You have the ability to express your opinions in speech and writing, are clear and communicative. Flexibility and adaptability are desirable qualities. In the selection process, great importance will be placed on personal qualities, suitability, and achieved results in previous areas of operation.

Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

Workplace: Muskö. The Navy Staff offers a commuter bus from central Stockholm to Muskö with several stops along the way.

The position is military SO7.

Start date: Immediately or by agreement.
