Are you drawn to being at the center of the action? Do you have a systematic working method and experience working with logistics in the Swedish Armed Forces? We are now recruiting Logistics Officers to the Logistics Division of the Operations Directorate at the Supreme Headquarters.
About the Division
The Operations Directorate (OPL) is divided into 10 divisions according to NATO structure, with divisions J1–J9 and a staff division. J4 is OPL's Logistics Division, which currently consists of three sections – Execution, Planning, and Host Nation Support (HNS) – supporting the Chief of OPL in the planning, command, execution, and follow-up of operations and peace-support missions, both within NATO and individually, both nationally and internationally.
OPL exercises command over the Swedish Armed Forces' three service branches, military districts, and the joint functional units FMLOG and FMTIS. The scope of J4's operations and responsibilities covers all logistics functions (transport, technical services, supply, other logistics support, and medical services), and the work is conducted in close contact with subordinate units and NATO staffs.
Main Responsibilities
The role of Logistics Officer (OF/K) at J4 covers all areas of logistics. Duties include participating in OPL's planning groups (JOPG and OPT), where you represent J4 and contribute your expertise to the planning. Furthermore, you lead and participate in various types of meetings for exercise activities, logistics boards, etc., with DUC as well as with NATO staffs and various authorities and other civilian actors. The role also involves leading and contributing to various order sets such as operational plans (OPLAN) with their various logistics annexes and Fragmentary Orders (FragO) for the execution of various missions, all of which are written in English. The role may also involve supporting the command of operations in the OPL Joint Operations Center (JOC), where you will contribute to ensuring that the common operational picture covers important logistical aspects.
Within the section, under the direction of the section chief, you lead the handling of various incoming matters. Furthermore, you will substitute for the section chief during meetings, etc., with the mandate to represent the section and sometimes the division.

Personal Attributes
We are looking for you who thrive in a dynamic environment where much is happening and where you want to contribute your knowledge and experience to achieve the best results. You enjoy leading various activities and projects. You are a flexible and stress-resistant person who can juggle many balls at the same time. You also have analytical skills, are responsible, have a structured and systematic working method, and are meticulous.
