Järlåsa School is located approximately 25 km west of Uppsala. The transport connections are good, with bus traffic running every half hour. We are a preschool to year 6 school and also have an after-school center for students in grades preschool to 3. Järlåsa School has just over 100 students and is situated with "the forest right on the doorstep". We have a large schoolyard and fine, purpose-built facilities. The students' school day starts at 7:45 and ends at 13:10, after which there is time for individual and collegial work within the framework of teachers' working hours. The school is an IBIS school, which means collaboration with Uppsala University and the municipality's IBIS coordinators.

Description of Duties
Are you a truly skilled educator who wants to work on pedagogical development parallel to your teaching duties? Then you may be the Senior Teacher we are looking for at Järlåsa School. In the role of Senior Teacher, you will drive and lead various development projects at the school. You will sit on the school's management group, lead the systematic quality work together with the school leadership and special needs teachers, and may also serve as a mentor to newly graduated colleagues. You will also lead the lower primary school teaching team and be part of the school's management group.
The main part of the position involves teaching in year 3. You will be the class mentor and responsible for planning, teaching, and follow-up work. You should be able to teach all subjects except music, physical education, and craft. You deliver varied, creative, and joyful teaching for our students, both individually and in teams. You find strategies to reach every student and contribute to increased goal fulfillment. You plan, assess, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and the systematic quality work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with a teaching license and eligibility to teach in lower primary school. You have previous experience successfully leading classes in lower primary school. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position. Experience in conducting development work at the school level, such as leading a teaching team, is an advantage.
As a person, you have the courage to act according to your own convictions. In your role, you take initiative and launch activities that yield good results. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a listening and flexible manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively.
With good pedagogical insight, you understand that students have different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge. You have the ability to adapt your message or approach to the receiver. You lead, motivate, and empower others with the authority needed to effectively achieve common goals. In a group, you become a reference point for others, creating engagement and involvement.
