Coordinator for Housing Support to Open Care

About Open Care

We are the operational unit of social services and offer interventions in areas such as children and family, parent education, support for social vulnerability, domestic violence, and housing issues. Our approach is based on designing support based on the individual's needs, where our different competencies collaborate to create tailored interventions.

About the Position

As a coordinator, you are a vital link between social secretaries, educators, and housing support staff. You provide support to adults with various challenges in daily life, for example related to mental health issues, substance abuse, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, or housing situations. The support is given both practically and pedagogically, and you work motivationally to promote change – often in collaboration with other actors such as the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Migration Agency, and healthcare. As a coordinator, you are also expected to support as an adult educator and housing support worker when needs arise.

You meet clients where they are: in counseling rooms, at home, or in contact with other authorities. You are responsible for drawing up and following up implementation plans according to assistance decisions under the Social Services Act (SoL), which is central to quality assurance and evaluation of interventions.

In your coordinating role, you represent the unit in team meetings with social secretaries and participate in collaboration meetings and network meetings. You also work closely with operational developers on routines and processes, and have regular contact with the labor market unit (AME) and other important actors regarding the client.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education as a social worker, social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, or other equivalent education. Experience working with socially vulnerable groups, mental health issues, ADHD/ASD (NPF), and substance abuse is meritorious. You have good pedagogical skills, are structured and flexible, and enjoy working motivationally and solution-focused.

It is meritorious if you have experience in treatment work within children and family services as well as operational development. You need to be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and have good computer skills, as the work involves social documentation.

Requirements: Category B driver's license.
