We at the Medical Emergency Care Department (Mava) in Kristianstad are now welcoming a new nurse to our cheerful and dedicated team.

Mava 071 is an inpatient ward with 13 beds, characterized by faster patient flows than other departments. Here, we primarily treat patients expected to have a short hospital stay, as well as those who will later be transferred to specialist departments for further care. With quality and good collaboration, we treat patients across the entire medical field, including intoxications, cardiological issues, or infections. Our remit also includes a portion of endocrinology and rheumatology patients.

We are a department with high competence, good morale, and pleasant colleagues. We respect one another, and everyone's skills are valued. Together, we are responsible for acute care, investigation, treatment, and nursing. Our education nurse works to promote training and continuing education on the ward to strengthen competence and knowledge development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a nurse with us, you will be offered a varied job at a changing pace, where you play a key role in both basic and specific patient care. The team surrounding the patients consists of doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, social workers, and dietitians. We work in a person-centered manner, ensuring that patients encounter the competencies needed to provide the most optimal care possible.

Here, you will gain broad competence in the entire field of acute medicine and the opportunity to participate in the development of care and the department. Competence development is one of the most important factors for maintaining and increasing the quality of care, as well as providing stimulation in your professional life. Continuous training is held on the ward, and there are opportunities to engage in various areas of responsibility. For newly graduated nurses, a secure, individualized introduction is prioritized, and there is a clinical base year that includes lectures and clinical skills training.

The percentage of employment for this position is negotiable. Working hours are scheduled for nights during all days of the week. On our ward, we use a booking schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to practice in Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have Swedish language skills of at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Additionally, you have experience working in emergency care/hospital care. Experience with ECG and arrhythmia interpretation, as well as the medical record system Melior, is considered meritorious.

You have an interest in emergency care, development, and learning, and can contribute energy and joy to our unit.
