Teacher of Swedish and English

Täljegymnasiet is Södertälje Municipality's largest municipal upper secondary school, with approximately 680 students distributed across our various programs: NA, TE, EK, SAM, IB (International Baccalaureate), SPV, and IA (Individual Alternative). We are now seeking an engaged and competent teacher for a 100% temporary position in Swedish and English.

Your Responsibilities

As an upper secondary teacher of Swedish and English, you will play a key role in developing students' language skills and communicative abilities. You will contribute to their knowledge development by creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Your main responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting teaching: Design and deliver structured lessons in Swedish and English that engage students and develop their reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
• Assessing student progress: Monitor and evaluate students' knowledge development through varied assessment methods such as tests and oral presentations.
• Individualizing instruction: Adapt teaching to meet students' different needs, prerequisites, and levels to promote learning and goal achievement.
• Collaborating with colleagues: Work in teams and subject departments regarding the planning, implementation, and development of teaching.

Through your work, you actively contribute to the students' academic and personal development.

Who are you?

Requirements:

• You have teacher certification with eligibility to teach Swedish and English at the upper secondary level.
• You have experience teaching in a school environment.
• You have strong skills in planning, implementing, and following up on teaching.
• You have experience with assessment and grading in accordance with current regulatory documents.
