About the role

You will teach our students in grades 4–6 in English, Swedish, and Social Studies (SO). At Blombackaskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on the students' needs and the school's governing documents. You create a positive and accessible learning environment that sparks a desire to learn and gives students the opportunity to develop according to their prerequisites. In the classroom, you are a clear and secure leader with high expectations, building trusting relationships and giving students responsibility to work both independently and collaboratively. Through clear leadership and varied teaching, you contribute to safety, study peace, and good academic results.

We offer you a 100% temporary position as a teacher in English, Swedish, and Social Studies for grades 4–6 until December 2026. The position includes mentorship. You will become part of an engaged and competent collegium with a strong collaborative culture and a shared focus on student learning and development. The school has social pedagogues who work closely with teachers in daily operations, as well as a professional student health team that collaborates with you, students, and guardians to create the best possible conditions for learning and well-being.

Your responsibilities

At Blombackaskolan, we work with language and knowledge-developing teaching, based on our jointly developed teaching model. You plan and implement teaching based on clear learning goals with a focus on student participation, motivation, and understanding. Reading across all subjects is a central part of the teaching, and you use structured reading activities and reading strategies to strengthen students' reading skills and subject knowledge.

You are part of both subject teams and work teams where collegial learning, joint planning, and reflection are a natural part of the work to develop the quality of teaching. You also actively contribute to the school's development work and advocate for equitable, inclusive, and sustainable teaching for all students.

You are an engaged and professional educator with a strong interest in school development and a clear belief that all students can succeed based on their prerequisites. You have a good ability to adapt teaching to students' different needs and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

You are receptive, solution-focused, and clear in your communication with students, guardians, and colleagues. As a colleague, you are collaborative, responsible, and actively contribute to the joint work of developing teaching and creating good results for students.

Requirements

• You have a degree and teacher certification for teaching English, Swedish, and Social Studies for grades 4–6.
• You are well-acquainted with the school's governing documents and work from a formative approach in teaching.
• You have experience and competence in language and knowledge-developing methods with good results.
• You are a clear and secure leader in the classroom and have the ability to adapt teaching to the student group you meet.
• You express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and communicate in a professional and clear manner with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Blombackaskolan is a two-stream F–9 school with approximately 500 students and 70 employees. The school is centrally located in Södertälje, next to Torekällberget, with proximity to nature and good transport links.
