About the Job

We are looking for a new support assistant for our service housing facility in Kallebäck. The facility consists of five apartments focusing on intellectual disabilities and psychiatry.

As an employee here, you will help develop our operations. We are a unit that values initiatives for improvement. You will actively participate in your own and the group's competence development, and we encourage each other to share experiences and knowledge. The service housing will be staffed 24/7. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can work days, evenings, and every other weekend. We work with a flexible base schedule and joint planning, which means you will also work shifts at other units.

As a support assistant, you will support our tenants based on individual needs, aiming for a good and independent life. The starting point is that our tenants should be involved and have the opportunity to influence decisions and interventions according to their own abilities. You will be a support in daily life with everything from communication, care, stimulating leisure activities, to household chores.

The role includes collaboration with all other persons involved with the tenant, such as legal guardians, relatives, and healthcare. The work includes social documentation and medication management according to delegation. As a support assistant, we act as contact persons for our tenants.

By creating and following implementation plans, you ensure that the tenants' needs are in focus. The work involves motivating tenants in their daily lives. This can include stimulating contacts outside the home and creating conditions for a rewarding leisure time based on the user's interests. As a support assistant, you make it possible for our tenants to develop and grow.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree from the Care and Nursing Program, the Support Assistant Education, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant points in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care.

You need to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements, you may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit. You must be able to read, write, and express yourself fluently both orally and in writing in Swedish, as communication and documentation are a central part of quality work.

You have experience working with care for people within neuropsychiatry as well as with implementation plans. You have knowledge of social documentation and medication management according to delegation. Since the service housing is staffed 24/7, you need to be able to work days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Knowledge in LAB (Low-Affective Handling), MI (Motivational Interviewing), and having had an ombuds role are meritorious.
