Södertälje is a municipality that offers both city and countryside with unique opportunities to continue developing for our citizens and visitors.
We are in a period of high implementation pace and a heavy investment portfolio within infrastructure, urban transformation, and facilities, making this an exciting time to step into the role.
Leadership in Södertälje
As a manager in Södertälje Municipality, you create motivation and engagement for the task among your employees. You communicate goals and create participation in the work by encouraging and utilizing good ideas. You are a role model and a good ambassador for the municipality. Your leadership is based on our values.
A day at work
The Construction Project Management unit is currently located within the Implementation Area, which is one of three areas in the Urban Development Department. The area consists of construction project management as well as the five other units: Streets and Traffic, Land and Property, Building Permits, Parks and Landscape, and Parking, totaling approximately 100 people.
You will become part of the area's management group as well as the department's joint steering group for projects, contributing your knowledge and expertise to develop together.
The unit currently consists of approximately 10 internal employees and an equal number of external consultants. The group is stable, experienced, and possesses high competence in construction project management and construction supervision.

We are looking for you who are self-reliant, secure in your leadership, and thrive in a role where you lead through others. You are available when needed, without micromanaging, and you see the value in supporting, developing, and creating good collaborations both within the unit and with other parts of the organization.
As a unit manager, you are responsible for operations, economy, personnel, and working environment, as well as creating the right conditions for the implementation of projects through good resource planning, follow-up, and control.

Personal qualities:

- You see the context, take responsibility for the whole, and can prioritize in a complex operation.
- You release and develop your employees through trust, delegation, and a present leadership.
