As a nursing assistant in short-term accommodation, you work together with your colleagues to provide care adapted to the individual. We support our care recipients with personal care, daily rehabilitation, and social activation to create a meaningful everyday life. Our focus is that every person, according to their own ability, should manage as much as possible on their own so that they can go home. We work in teams where we cooperate within and between teams and prioritize the work.

You follow basic hygiene routines, wear work clothes, and have a respectful and professional attitude towards both care recipients, colleagues, relatives, and other people we meet in our work.

This is what you will work with:

• Help with personal care, for example showering, hygiene, dressing, and toilet visits, as well as support during meals
• Be part of a flexible workplace with a rehabilitative approach where care needs change constantly
• Work according to person-centered care where you adapt the support to the individual's unique needs and wishes
• The role includes administering medication, which means you need to receive delegation from licensed personnel. You may also need to take on other delegated HSL tasks
• Support in daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, and minor shopping in the local area
• Participate in social activities, provide support and guidance
• Document and stay updated in digital systems. Write clear records, document according to guidelines, and create and follow implementation plans to ensure good quality and safe care
• Cooperate with colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, as well as collaborate with relatives
• Follow the workplace's routines and guidelines
• Be the contact person and together with the individual plan how the interventions should be carried out.

Who are you?

You who are applying are a trained nursing assistant. You have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both in reading, speaking, and writing. We would like you to have experience from hospitals, home care, or dementia care, but it is not a requirement.

We value your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is secure, flexible, and takes responsibility for their own tasks. You have a good ability to cooperate and build relationships with a respectful and helpful attitude. You have an understanding of other people's needs and feelings.

• Before employment, you need to show a passport/national ID. If you have citizenship from a country outside the EU/EEA, you also need to show your work permit. This is so that we can secure your identity and your right to work in Sweden.
• Before employment at the care administration, we want you to present a valid criminal record extract. You can already order one from the police to speed up the recruitment process. Order the extract called Work in the home with elderly persons and persons with disabilities.
• We conduct language tests for services within elderly care, so you may need to take a test before a possible employment.
• To be employed as a nursing assistant with us, you need to show proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from the employer about permanent employment as a nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023. Attach this to your application.

Within the care administration, we provide care, support, and assistance to people who are elderly, have a disability, or need home healthcare. We also offer health-promoting measures and support to people who care for and support a relative. Our goal is that those who need care and assistance in their everyday life should be able to live an independent life as far as possible.

Högalidshemmet is a senior housing facility with a total of 26 apartments, divided into two departments with a somatic focus. On the other three departments, short-term care and respite care are located. Högalidshemmet is located in Hässleholm with about a 10-minute walk from the station, but there are also good bus connections.
