We are looking for a Unit Manager for Sollentuna Parental Support, where you, together with competent staff, will drive and develop important preventive work. In this role, you will have a strategic assignment focused on collaboration, quality, and long-term development for a safer Sollentuna.

The Social Services Office in Sollentuna Municipality has a well-established preventive work structure that we are proud of and continue to develop. Sollentuna Parental Support is part of the Social Services Office's Children and Young People department and is responsible for offering preventive parental support and support to educators in collaboration. Parental support is offered both in groups and individually. The unit creates conditions to detect and prevent psychosocial problems early and contributes to creating good and safe upbringing conditions for children and young people in Sollentuna.

About the operations

Sollentuna Parental Support offers both preventive and needs-assessed interventions in collaboration with children, young people, their guardians, and other important adults. Parental supporters and the family liaison officer provide advice and support from pregnancy until the child turns 18, with a special focus on families with greater needs. The goal is to strengthen and prevent children's mental health issues. Youth therapists work with individual treatment interventions for young people aged 12–20 to strengthen protective factors and counteract norm-breaking and criminal behavior.

The unit, together with collaboration partners, runs three family centers in Sollentuna.

The unit also includes a facility, "Familjerummet" (The Family Room), in Tureberg. The purpose of this facility is to increase accessibility to parental support and other preventive interventions in a vulnerable area, as well as to prevent crime. The unit also faces exciting development assignments due to the new Social Services Act, such as expanded parental support without needs assessment and starting school social teams together with the Education Office.

Collaboration occurs with the voluntary sector and community life. The unit also works proactively and outwardly in the municipality.

Sollentuna Municipality has a goal of having no vulnerable areas on the police's list by 2030. Safety work is an important focus area, and the unit plays a key part in the preventive work of this assignment.

Responsibilities

As Unit Manager, you are responsible for operations, budget, and personnel, and you report to the Department Manager. You are part of the department's management group together with the other unit managers. As Unit Manager, you work closely with team leaders and staff. The role involves creating good conditions for method and operational development, and together with the staff, you follow up and develop the operations. You serve as an important link between the administration and the unit, providing support to team leaders in prioritization, planning, and resource allocation. Sollentuna Municipality has family counseling under the LOV (Choice System), and you are responsible for the follow-up of the operations.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree, or other equivalent education
• Experience in preventive social work at universal, selective, and indicated levels
• Experience in operations requiring collaboration and cooperation with multiple parties

Meritorious

• Experience in parental support work and family centers
• Experience in authority work within children and young people is meritorious
• Management experience
