The Social Services Administration in Öckerö Municipality is a committed and forward-looking administration. The Support and Treatment Unit falls under the Social Services Administration's area of operation Authority and Social Welfare. The unit is responsible for the municipality's outpatient interventions such as advice, support and treatment, family center, family counseling, as well as drug and crime prevention work.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to be part of Öckerö Municipality's development journey towards a social services with increased accessibility and high-quality evidence-based methods. We are in a phase where we have just started a joint reception function, formed a network team, and are training both authority offices and providers in Signs of Safety.

The position is combined, with 50% as a parent counselor for younger ages and 50% as a therapist. The position is located within the Resource and Treatment Team. Here we work with support and treatment for families with children and adolescents, relatives, domestic violence, as well as risky use, harmful use, and addiction. Group activities with various themes are also offered.

As a therapist, you will focus on children, adolescents, and families. This may, for example, involve assignments regarding problematic school absenteeism or performing intensive interventions for families to enable children to stay with their parents. You execute assignments based on assistance from the authority office and perform interventions without needs assessment. An important part of this assignment is collaboration with other actors around the child/family, both in the private network and the professional network.

As a parent counselor for younger ages, you work in collaboration with other professions in our family-center-like operation. Part of the assignment is the meeting with parents and children who come to the open preschool. You also work in various parent support programs and perform some outreach work. You offer conversations to parents with a focus on strengthening them in parenthood in a way that benefits the children. Together with operations such as preschool, Child Health Center (BVC), and the authority office, you work towards a preventive and easily accessible social services with low thresholds. Your working hours may partly be in the evenings during certain periods. In your role as a parent counselor, you are part of a network regarding parenting support in Gothenburg City.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who;

• Are a social worker or have another university education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Have experience from support and treatment work.
• Have experience working with children/young people/families.
• Have further education in counseling such as Step 1 or equivalent.

We are looking for you who want to develop the social services of the future and who at the same time want to develop yourself through new experiences and competence-enhancing measures. We would like you to have good knowledge of the social services' providers and authority execution.

We see that you need to have a good ability to collaborate with both internal and external parties, and show confidence in your role as a therapist. You understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.

A B driver's license is required.

Since you will work with children and young people, a police certificate will be requested from the person offered employment.
