The lessons follow a structure with clear goals and purposes and vary in teaching methods.
Our schools work with a strong value base for societal improvement and equal value. Therefore, it is important to us that you share our values.
The duties include tasks related to the teaching role, such as teaching, planning, and assessment.
Qualifications
Primarily, we are looking for you who are an experienced and certified upper secondary school teacher in Spanish and English and are well-versed in the curriculum and regulatory documents for upper secondary education.
Aside from your subject competence, we value your engagement, your pedagogical competence, and your ability to inspire and engage students. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, as well as your ability to build good relationships.
You are curious and work actively to ensure that every student develops as much as possible based on their prerequisites.
It is important to us that you are motivated by challenging yourself, your colleagues, and students to contribute to the development of yourself, the school, and the students.

About Grillska Gymnasium Uppsala
Grillska Gymnasium in Uppsala is located in pleasant premises in Ekebybruk. The school offers six different national programs, both university-preparatory and vocational. The personal meeting, pride among students and teachers, innovation, and results in the form of knowledge and personal development are important cornerstones of our operations. Characteristic of the school is a close collaboration between students and teachers in a safe study environment.
Grillska Gymnasium in Uppsala has existed since 2013 and currently educates approximately 350 students in both university-preparatory and vocational programs. We are a very dedicated staff group working together with a focus on students' knowledge development and well-being.
The City Mission School Foundation is a non-profit organization that runs upper secondary education at Grillska Gymnasium and Grillska's Adapted Upper Secondary School, as well as adult education at the City Mission Vocational College. With approximately 3,000 students, we are one of Sweden's largest non-profit educational providers.
Being non-profit means primarily that we are not driven by any other interests than our vision – a school for a more humane society. The schools are independent schools run in foundation form, which means there is no owner taking out profits. Any surplus goes towards the development of the operations.
Our schools work with learning and development within common focus areas. These areas fall under the three categories of pedagogy, health, and civic engagement. We develop practices that, according to science and proven experience, have a positive impact on the learning situation, on the work for the health of students, and on enabling our students to enter the world with strong civic engagement.
The founder of the foundation, the Stockholm City Mission, has been running education since 1857, and we share the same fundamental, humane view of humanity and values.
Through education, we can prevent exclusion and strengthen the individual's belief in themselves and their own abilities, working towards our vision of a school for a more humane society.
