Make a difference. Every day.
Are you a registered nurse attracted to a role where you can utilize your relationship-building skills with recurring patients while working with advanced medical technology? Here, you will find exciting work in a team where we value and support each other's development.
Dialysis is a dynamic field undergoing constant development, where the interplay between medical technology and nursing care is of great significance. At our facility, chronically ill kidney patients receive regular blood dialysis treatment. We also admit patients with acute kidney failure. To offer the best possible care to our patients, we collaborate closely with nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, biomedical engineers, and paramedics. Currently, we have approximately 65 employees.
The unit is characterized by a workplace culture where we help each other succeed and develop. We value trust and empathy, which are important parts of our leadership. Most of our patients are recurring over long periods. This means we build long-term relationships focused on helping them achieve the highest possible quality of life by tailoring dialysis treatment to individual needs. Therefore, we are increasingly working towards person-centered care and involving patients in their own treatment.
"I would recommend applying to the dialysis unit because you work independently but still with the support of a friendly, hierarchy-free group of colleagues," says Martin, a nurse at the dialysis clinic.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a new colleague for our Dialysis Clinic in Lund!
As a nurse, you will work with dialysis healthcare, where your duties include nursing care, medical care, and education of dialysis patients. You have specific nursing responsibility for certain patients regarding their long-term planning and treatment. We are an engaged team that enjoys working together while striving for the best interests of our patients. We place great emphasis on patients feeling involved and engaged in their treatments. As part of our role as a university hospital, there are opportunities to participate in research projects and in teaching students as well as patients.
"Working at the dialysis unit gives me a sense of pride in working at a workplace that truly wants the best for the patient, done with a family-like yet professional demeanor. We are welcoming, inviting, and have an open and helpful environment. We have fun at work and laugh a lot," says Eva, a nurse at the dialysis clinic.
We value the professional development of our employees and create opportunities for you to develop within dialysis, nephrology, and other related areas. Region Skåne is investing in increased professional development for nurses. For those without prior dialysis experience, we offer 8 to 12 weeks of side-by-side training that is individually adapted. You will also receive help and support from our education-responsible nurses.
For newly graduated nurses, there is a Clinical Base Year that includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. For nurses wishing to specialize, in addition to educational benefits in priority areas, there are several searchable educational employment positions where education is alternating with clinical work over two years.
Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:00, and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00 to 20:30. On Saturdays from 07:00 to 15:00 and Sundays from 12:00 to 20:30. You will work approximately every third weekend, but with our preference schedule via Timecare, there is room for flexibility.
Qualifications
We welcome both newly graduated and experienced registered nurses eligible to practice in Swedish healthcare. The position requires Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Additionally, we would appreciate a strong interest in developing within the dialysis field. If you have prior dialysis experience, there is an opportunity to develop within acute dialysis treatments and apheresis treatments.
To thrive here, you are positive and team-oriented. You have a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Furthermore, you are focused on the operations and want to help drive our work forward. We believe you are curious, responsible, and keen to stay updated on developments within our field. We want you to have the ability to take responsibility and work independently when the work situation requires it. Personal suitability is highly valued.
