We started the inpatient ward a little over a year ago, and we have 14 care beds and a broad medical profile.

On the ward, we treat patients with diagnoses including medicine, neurology, and surgery. Patients requiring High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) therapy, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and various types of drains, such as pleural drains, are also part of our scope.

Here, you will find a stimulating and educational work environment where you can develop alongside dedicated colleagues. We work in interprofessional teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and rehabilitation staff. Communication and good collaboration are central, and we always keep the patient in focus.

We also collaborate with several different departments, including medicine, surgery, cardiology, and orthopedics. This provides broad competence within the unit and creates good opportunities for professional development.

Job Responsibilities

We are now welcoming two nurses to Medicine Ward 9. Here, you work close to the patient in an environment that offers new challenges and learning opportunities every day.

The work is varied and involves taking responsibility for the patient's care, treatment, and nursing together with colleagues. You become part of a team where we support each other, work across professional boundaries, and focus heavily on planning, structure, and patient safety.

As a new employee, you will receive an individualized introduction of at least four weeks. If you are new to the nursing profession, we also offer the opportunity to participate in the clinical base year.

Support is available on the ward in the form of both a specialist nurse and a unit manager who are available for daily work.

The position also includes supervising students and new employees. To give you good conditions to feel secure in this role, we offer training in supervision. We place great emphasis on competence development and continuously work on developing the staff group through both internal training and online courses.

The position involves day, evening, and night shifts. Here, you have the opportunity to influence your scheduling through a preference schedule with a quota model, and we would appreciate it if you were interested in working night shifts.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. The position also requires Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

Through your commitment and positive attitude, you contribute to a good work climate, where you work together with colleagues to provide our patients with the highest quality care. You have high readiness for action, a professional approach, and the ability to adapt your planning to the needs of the operations.
