Your Responsibilities

As a teacher, your work is based on planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work according to the national curriculum. You will work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher for grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders in the school to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for every student. You base your work on the specific student group you encounter and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you utilize the experiences and knowledge of various professions.

This position is a temporary assignment (substitute) during the school year 2026/2027, involving teaching in Home and Consumer Studies (Hem- och konsumentkunskap) for grades 6-9, as well as mentoring for grade 9.

Your Workplace

Ånestadsskolan is located near the central parts of Linköping and has two school units, F-6 and 7-9. Each unit has a principal and an assistant principal. This position is located at the 7-9 unit, which has approximately 270 students and 45 employees. Students come to this unit from various parts of Linköping Municipality.

Who You Are

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach Home and Consumer Studies in grades 6-9. In the second hand, we look for you with a completed teacher education for grades 6-9. Alternatively, you are at the end of your teacher education for grades 6-9.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through practice or employment. It is meritorious if you have experience teaching Home and Consumer Studies or if you have taught in grades 7-9 for at least one school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 7-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well-acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you must organize and carry out work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and involve them in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society relevant to your professional role.
