Responsibilities

As a teacher in grades Pre-K–3 at Svandammsskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching according to current regulatory documents. You work systematically with language- and knowledge-developing approaches as well as with the students' social development. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues, student health services, and guardians to create a safe and structured learning environment.

About the Workplace

The primary task of the Child and Education Administration is to offer a safe and stimulating learning environment where we equip children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and leisure activities for all residents.

Svandammsskolan is located in the southern part of Nynäshamn and is a two-parallel school for students in grades Pre-K–6. The school's keywords are camaraderie, challenge, curiosity, collaboration, creativity, activity, and progression. In other words, "knowledge gives opportunities".

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in the role, you have

• Teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in grades Pre-K–3
• Documented experience of teaching or similar pedagogical work
• Good ability to document, follow up, and analyze students' knowledge development
• Good knowledge of the current curriculum and the school's regulatory documents
• Good digital competence and familiarity with using digital tools in teaching and documentation
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

Personal qualities we are looking for

You are an engaged, positive, and stable person who takes responsibility for your work. You have a good ability to lead, plan, and follow up on teaching in a long-term and systematic way. You have good pedagogical insight and design teaching so that students' confidence in their own abilities is strengthened. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances.
