Quality Developer for Swedish Red Cross Health and Mental Health Operations

We are now looking for a Quality Developer for our Health and Medical Care department. The role is part of an operation where quality, patient safety, and continuous development are in focus, and where you will have the opportunity to work closely with both management and operations.

The recruitment is part of our continued effort to strengthen systematic quality work and meet increased demands within care and social services. In this role, you will hold a central position in developing and ensuring the quality of our processes, while contributing to ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations and high quality standards.

About the role

As a Quality Developer, you will support the department's health and medical care operations through structured and systematic quality work focused on internal processes and patient safety. You will work closely with operational managers and contribute to ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with current laws and requirements for good and safe care.

In the role, you will among other things:

  • develop, ensure quality of, and manage the department's management system
  • drive quality and improvement work in close dialogue with the operations
  • support operational managers in quality and patient safety matters
  • contribute to digital development in collaboration with IT
  • monitor the external environment and implement new knowledge into operations

You report to the department manager and are part of the department's leadership team.

About you

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with extensive experience from the health and medical care sector and a strong desire to develop quality and patient safety. You have good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing operations and are accustomed to working systematically with planning, follow-up, and analysis.

You are confident in leading and driving processes forward and have a good ability to create structure in working methods and routines. The role involves close collaboration with managers and leaders, which places demands on both teamwork skills and a professional and trust-building working approach.

We see that you have:

  • registration as a nurse
  • good knowledge of legislation and guidelines within health and medical care
  • several years of experience in planning, follow-up, and analysis within the field
  • good ability to lead processes and develop working methods
  • very good teamwork skills and experience in supporting managers in complex issues

It is meritorious if you have:

  • experience in digital development within health and medical care
  • knowledge in project management, process management, and impact measurement
  • experience working with vulnerable individuals, including knowledge of care for migrants
  • understanding of the rights of torture survivors
  • experience from voluntary/NGO work

As a person, you are self-reliant, responsible, and have good prioritization skills. You are analytical and development-oriented, and have a pedagogical ability that enables you to engage others and drive change in the organization.

More about us

Swedish Red Cross runs treatment centers for war-injured and tortured individuals. The goal of the operation is to provide care to people who have been exposed to war trauma and torture so that they can reclaim their mental and physical health. The operation is located in five places in Sweden: Skellefteå, Uppsala, Skövde, Gothenburg, and Malmö.

Medical mediation is conducted in two places in the country, Stockholm and Gothenburg, and is staffed by nurses and social workers. The target group is migrants who fall outside society's protection system, e.g., undocumented individuals, asylum seekers, EU citizens/third-country nationals with residence permits in the EU/EEA and who lack a European Health Insurance Card, as well as persons who have residence permits but cannot be registered in the population register.

Other information

The position is a permanent full-time employment located at our office in Malmö. We apply a 6-month probation period. Start date by agreement.

The role involves travel to operations located across the country (Skellefteå, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Skövde) in addition to Malmö, as well as to SRK offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
