Haninge Municipality is a forward-thinking municipality. In 2023, we were among the first municipalities to establish a first and second-line social services structure, a step in our adaptation to the future social services and the new Social Services Act. Within the first-line social services, we meet children and young people assessed to need assistance-evaluated interventions preceded by investigation, and we follow up on these interventions. We work in a target-group-focused and team-based manner throughout the process, which means we coordinate investigations and interventions based on evidence and knowledge-based methods in collaboration with both internal and external actors.
The first-line social services consist of units within the preventive area and assistance-evaluated outpatient interventions for children and young people. Each unit is led by a unit manager, and the area as a whole by an area manager.
The Outpatient Care for Children unit implements assistance-evaluated interventions in the form of family therapy, Social Intervention Group, Mini-Maria, youth counselor, rePULSE, intensive family therapy, etc. Outpatient care is facing an exciting development where interventions are shaped in close cooperation with other important actors in the field with the aim of continuously developing and adapting to the needs we encounter among children and young people, in order to offer the best support.
Your Assignment
"Stigen" is a highly appreciated activity that has existed in Haninge Municipality since 2012 and is known for its flexible working method and its fantastic ability to meet the young people who come to us based on their individual needs. Those who work at Stigen meet young people between 11-17 years old who have been granted the interventions rePULSE or youth counselor via social services. The interventions may depend on own behavior, social vulnerability such as problematic school attendance, mental illness, or honor-based oppression.
The purpose of the rePULSE intervention is to provide support and tools to handle lack of impulse control, alternatively too high a degree of control, and to develop social skills through structured individual contact.
The youth counselor intervention consists of individually designed intensive support for young people with complex problems. The goal is to build a functioning daily life with employment and good physical and mental health by building the intervention around the needs of the young person and by using the resources available to the young person themselves and the network around them. As a youth counselor, you will accompany them on what is often a rather tough journey where it is crucial that you are secure in yourself, that you easily establish contacts and build trust, and that you are not afraid of difficult conversations. Your ability to cooperate with others and your way of communicating will be important aspects of successful work.

Work may occur outside office hours depending on the assignment.

Your Qualifications
- Social work degree (Social worker)
- Experience of support and treatment work with young people
- Good knowledge of social services processes and legislation
- Knowledge of BBIC
- Driver's license B
Meritorious
- Experience and preferably training in network work
- Training in rePULSE
- Experience in creating and working with implementation plans based on social services assignments
