Our business area Children, Young People, and Families consists of several units: reception, child and youth 1 and 2, youth, foster homes, and family support. At the child and youth unit, we work together to create a modern social services department that meets future needs – with a focus on early, preventive, and high-quality interventions.

Your role

As a social secretary here, you will have a challenging, varied, and meaningful job.

You will work in one of our two child and youth units, conducting investigations and follow-ups of interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU) for children and young people aged 0–20 and their families.

We work structured and evidence-based using:

  • iRiSk – for structured risk assessment.
  • SAVRY – for assessing risk and protective factors in young people.
  • EARL – for early risk identification.
  • ERASOR – a structured assessment instrument used to estimate the risk of re-offending in sexually abusive behavior among young people.
  • BBiC and Signs of Safety – to put the child's needs at the center and strengthen family resources.

The work involves close collaboration with internal and external partners such as preschools, schools, Child Health Centers (BVC), Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), and the police. Here, you will have room to develop, influence working methods, and contribute to shaping the future of social services.

Your competence and experience

  • Have a degree in Social Work
  • Have experience as a social secretary in authority enforcement for children and young people
  • Are secure, stable, and have a high degree of personal maturity
  • Have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing

Meritorious:

  • Education and experience in iRiSk, SAVRY, ERASOR, and EARL
  • Knowledge in Signs of Safety and conversation with children
