Job Description

We are currently looking for both summer and temporary staff for our Specialized Support Housing units, with a focus on psychiatry, neurology, and social psychiatry.

Our operations are located on Hisingen and in central parts of Gothenburg. Your placement will be determined based on the needs of the specific units.

What does the role involve?

You will work in group homes where our residents have various mental, neuropsychiatric, or intellectual disabilities. Together with experienced colleagues, or sometimes working independently, you provide support in all aspects of daily life.

Duties may include:

• Educational support in daily activities
• Personal care
• Help with household chores such as cooking and cleaning
• Medication management according to delegation
• Documentation of the resident's needs and development

The role also involves encounters with challenging or self-harming behaviors, as well as substance abuse issues. Therefore, we actively work with low-affective handling to create calm and security.

Temporary Staff (Timvikarie)

As a temporary staff member, you cover for the absence of permanent staff in the units. You are offered flexible working hours scheduled during the day, evening, awake night, and sleeping on-call shifts on weekdays and weekends. You can control your own schedule by entering your availability and receiving job requests accordingly.

Summer Staff (Sommarvikarie)

As a summer staff member, you are offered a temporary position with a fixed schedule during the summer. Options include working day/evening, day/evening/sleeping on-call, or only awake nights. Weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

You must have proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. This requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet these qualification requirements, you may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit.

Independent work occurs within this operation. In accordance with AFS 2023:2 (Chapter 6, Sections 56 and 8), you must therefore be at least 18 years old to be eligible for the position.

It is an advantage if you are trained as a support assistant, assistant nurse, or have other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Ongoing education in healthcare, psychology, pedagogy, or social work is also considered an asset.

Strong merit is experience working with the psychiatric target group and experience in handling aggressive or challenging behavior.
