Teacher for Österbyskolan – Spanish and Social Studies

We are looking for a colleague for Österbyskolan to teach Spanish, with the possibility of teaching social studies subjects, grades 6-9.

Österbyskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 430 students. We are an inclusive school where collaboration between colleagues is prioritized. We have a committed school leadership team, and together we work for safety, study environment, and knowledge. Österbyskolan is located right in the center, yet close to nature, and we have a swimming pool and sports hall adjacent to the school. Job Responsibilities

When you work as a teacher with us, you become part of one of our five work teams, in this case, the lower secondary school team. There you will meet engaged and positive colleagues who collaborate closely with the school leadership. We plan and develop the operations together. We strive to challenge and support every student so that they all have good prerequisites for meeting the challenges and opportunities of the future. We do this in close collaboration with other educators, student health services, and guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Spanish with the eligibility to teach in grades 6-9, or alternatively have a pedagogical background and a great interest in teaching. If you also have eligibility to teach social studies subjects, it is an advantage. You have good knowledge of the Spanish language and the ability to motivate students and create a good working atmosphere. It is a plus if you have good IT skills and familiarity with the systems we use daily, e.g., Unikum and Teams.
