Amplius Care is a healthcare chain primarily focused on specialized assessment and treatment for children, with or without their parents. We are launching a new Residential Care Home (HVB) for children aged 11-14 and are looking for several treatment pedagogues. You will be part of an exciting journey where you have the opportunity to shape the operations together with us!

About Tegelvillan

Tegelvillan is a Residential Care Home (HVB) for children aged 11-14 with psychosocial and/or neuropsychiatric issues, children with complex behavioral problems, and children with acting-out behaviors. Our operations are characterized by structure, safety, and relationship-based work in a home-like environment. We provide treatment based on CBT principles, low-affective handling, and milieu therapy – where every situation is seen as a learning opportunity.

Tegelvillan has five places. Treatment takes place in close collaboration with the facility's psychologist, child psychiatrist, and other professionals within the Amplius specialist team.

About the Role

As a treatment pedagogue at Tegelvillan HVB, you have a contact person role – you are a safe, stable, and present adult who helps the child create structure, safety, and predictability in everyday life. You are an important person for the child and have a significant impact on the child's quality of life.

You need to have the ability to build a close and trusting relationship, look beyond the child's behavior, and understand the underlying needs. A gentle, respectful, and loving approach is combined with clarity, boundary setting, and taking responsibility.

The ability to meet children in affect with a low-affective approach is a basic prerequisite for working with us. You must also be able to meet the children's difficulties in a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental manner.

We place great emphasis on our employees' ability for self-reflection – you need to be able to reflect on your own handling, see how it affects the child's behavior, and actively adjust your actions to achieve the desired effect. You are receptive to feedback and participate regularly in supervision.

As an employee, you are a role model and a model in the child's learning of new and more effective behaviors. Through your way of acting, communicating, and handling emotions, you show the child alternative strategies and paths to change.

Your treatment-oriented work includes, among other things:

  • Planning and implementing milieu therapy work based on CBT and behavioral analysis.
  • Responsible for daily planning and creating clear, predictable routines adapted to the child's needs and abilities.
  • Holding regular conversations (contact person meetings) focusing on: Skill training, Behavioral activation, Regulating activities (e.g., emotion management, problem-solving, recovery).
  • Supporting the child in developing more effective behaviors through positive reinforcement, modeling, and guidance in everyday life.
  • Conducting behavioral observations, working with ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) to understand the relationships between situation, behavior, and consequence, and documenting according to current legislation and facility routines.

As a contact person, you are the one who holds together the child's daily and treatment-oriented process. You contribute to the child's development by combining structure, empathy, and reflection in everything you do.

Working hours are scheduled according to a rolling 6-week schedule, with variations in day, evening, weekend, and on-call duties occurring regularly. We also have employees who work night shifts awake.

About You

We are looking for you who have at least two years of post-secondary education in social work as a social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, behavioral scientist, social worker, or who have other education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent. You have at least four years of experience in treatment work in HVB homes or within LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), as well as experience working with children and young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Knowledge of and experience in working based on Milieu Therapy, CBT, low-affective handling, and MI (Motivational Interviewing) is desirable, as is work with behavioral observations, behavioral analysis, and social documentation.

We are looking for you who want to be part of an engaged operation in development, where evidence-based treatment and the best interests of the child are always in focus. You have a genuine desire to understand the child's perspective, patience to build trust over time, and the ability to create safety through your calm and stable manner. You find it easy to collaborate and value reflection and supervision as a natural part of the work. You need to be able to handle your own emotions in challenging situations and act with professional distance and empathy. You are confident in yourself, unpretentious, and have a high degree of self-awareness.

You want to work structured, pedagogically, and consciously with CBT and behavioral analysis as a foundation, and you find it meaningful to be the safe adult who models new skills for the child in everyday life. You see collaboration and communication as a strength, thrive in a team that learns from each other, and are curious to develop both professionally and personally. Your knowledge of Swedish and English is good, both in speech and writing. If you have additional language skills, it is an advantage.

Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference, where you get to work in a company with high quality requirements and where development and improvement work is high on the agenda? Do you, like us, want to do that little extra and exceed expectations? We welcome your application!
