About Högåsskolan

Högåsskolan is a grades F-6 school with approximately 480 students and 70 employees in the nature-rich Knivsta, right next to the Gredelby Hagars Nature Reserve. Our proximity to nature, combined with our central location and short distance to commuter trains for quick access to Uppsala or Stockholm, offers fantastic opportunities for various types of variation in teaching, which we see as an important part of the students' learning.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a certified teacher for the after-school center (fritidshem). You will become an important part of the school's work to create a meaningful, safe, and developmental after-school environment, as well as good collaboration with homes and other professions. You will have close collaboration with teachers, resources, and other colleagues in the team.

In your role, you are responsible, together with colleagues, for planning, documenting, implementing, and following up on pedagogical activities during both school and after-school hours. You meet the students where they are and work actively to strengthen their social and personal development.

You do this, among other things, by encouraging students to take their own initiatives, strengthening their self-esteem, and working actively with group dynamics, equal treatment, and conflict management.

You have the student's focus and good structure in your teaching according to the Education Act, the curriculum, and our municipal steering documents.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for the after-school center.

You have good knowledge of the Office package and use IT as a natural part of teaching and documentation.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability, and we would appreciate it if you have previous experience of working in after-school centers as well as experience with language- and knowledge-developing approaches.

Employment Terms

• Salary form: Monthly salary.
