About the Job
We are currently looking for a Family Therapist to strengthen our Collaboration Team in Hjällbo on a parental leave contract. The Collaboration Teams are located in Hjällbo and Hammarkullen and represent a collaborative model between the Social Services Administration, selected schools, and other local actors.
Your responsibilities include providing support and therapeutic interventions for entire families and their networks. The focus is on students who face combined school-related and social challenges. We operate on the principle that parents are the most important people in the lives of children and young people. Our goal is to help families find the right strategies to overcome difficulties, enabling young people to remain in their home environment, function well in school, and engage in leisure activities. We primarily offer individually tailored interventions. Referrals may come from the families themselves, schools, or social services. We meet families in their homes, in our own facilities, and at schools. Working hours are mainly during the day, though some evening work is required.
The position involves close collaboration with school social workers, schools, leisure activities, and other key local actors. The starting point is to become an integrated part of the Hjällbo local area and build good relationships with residents and professionals. Part of the role involves area-based work and participation in the administration's safety-promoting efforts. The work of the Collaboration Team is based on proven and research-based experiences.
Qualifications
You must be a qualified social worker (socionom) or hold another higher education degree that the employer considers equivalent. Additionally, you need acquired competence within the field.
You should have extensive experience in social work, particularly in leading meetings with young people and families in Angered or similar areas. You must have knowledge and experience in working with young people exhibiting norm-breaking behavior, network work, and internal and external collaboration. Since the tasks involve young people with norm-breaking behavior, experience in preventive work is advantageous. You also need experience working on behalf of social services and using associated documentation systems.
Since collaboration is a major focus, an already established professional network in Angered and Hjällbo is advantageous. In your work, you will collaborate with many actors around the young person, both within professional and private networks. Therefore, you need a humble approach and the ability to actively contribute to good collaboration. You have good documentation skills and the ability to structure your tasks and manage your time effectively.
The work requires the ability to understand the organization's goals and translate them into concrete action. You need to be stress-resistant and capable of handling difficult situations. Based on the needs of the target group, you are an open and positive person who treats others with respect.
Since the work is based on the conditions of young people and families, it is important that you are flexible and adaptable.
A valid B-class driver's license and driving experience are desirable.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We look forward to receiving your application!
