The Gothenburg District Court is one of Sweden's largest district courts with approximately 250 employees. Our mission is to maintain a secure, efficient, and high-quality administration of justice. Working with us is meaningful and fulfills one of society's most important functions.

The court is located in modern premises at Ullevi in central Gothenburg and is an open and modern workplace with dedicated employees. The court is constantly working to develop its operations.

The court emphasizes the importance of good employee relations based on four approaches: engagement, responsibility, team spirit, and innovation. The position is located in the Archive and Switchboard unit within the administrative department, where you, together with colleagues in administration, registry, switchboard, archives, caretaking, and security, support the district court in its important mission.

Job Description

As an administrator with us, you play a key role in a dynamic and eventful operation. The work largely involves digitally receiving and responding to external and internal inquiries in our official email inbox. External contacts may include parties, lawyers, and other authorities. Internally, you collaborate daily with the court's staff. The volume of inquiries in our official inbox is high; approximately 800 inquiries arrive daily, which you handle together with your colleagues.

The role may also include working at the court's reception and handling public inquiries. Reception staff are also responsible for making decisions on witness compensation.

Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of the unit by, among other things, helping to draft guidelines and procedures.

To increase flexibility and make the tasks even more interesting and meaningful, it may be relevant to rotate with other tasks within the unit/department.

Qualifications

You have completed upper secondary education. It is an advantage if you have post-secondary education in social sciences, law, or similar. You also have experience in administrative work from the public sector and preferably experience in areas within the scope of the position, such as official/administrative email inboxes, disclosure of public documents, and document registration.

Previous experience in administrative work within the court system is particularly advantageous.

You are a very proficient computer user and view computers and email as natural work tools. You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and preferably in English.

We place great importance on your personal qualities, such as having good judgment, being responsible, and having a structured and systematic work approach. You should be accustomed to providing good treatment both internally and externally, have a high level of service orientation, and good communication skills. It is important that you can handle a high work pace and independently prioritize your tasks, as the inflow of inquiries is high.

Since you work in a small group, this requires good collaboration skills and the ability to have a flexible approach regarding rotating between different tasks.

To be employed by us, you must be assessed as suitable. This means you uphold democratic values and the public sector values that govern the operations of Swedish courts. We also require that you comply with Swedish laws. Register checks may be conducted prior to employment.

The position is a permanent employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period.
