We are now looking for an empathetic and stable housing support worker for an immediate start at our service apartment, Mariehöjd. Here, our housing support is provided in ordinary housing, supporting, motivating, and engaging people with social psychiatric issues to live an independent life.

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities involve working in an investigative, supportive, and motivational manner to strengthen the individual's own resources for an independent life and active participation in society. In your role, you must be able to meet the individual where they are and understand the difficulties they may face. You should be able to make independent decisions and resolve various situations based on each individual's conditions and needs.

You will be part of a housing support group with long experience and high competence. Together with the individual, you will structure their daily life, leisure time, and activities, as well as follow their development plan. The operation strives for cooperation with, among others, relatives, healthcare, and labor market actors.

The position is a permanent employment starting with a six-month probation period. We work during daytime, evenings, and weekends. You work based on a fixed schedule with great flexibility according to the needs of the assignments.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who have a post-secondary education in, for example, social pedagogy/therapeutic pedagogy or another equivalent university education. It is meritorious if you have experience in meeting people with mental illness or previous experience working with people in need of special support, as well as if you have experience and knowledge of low-affective handling, psychosis, and co-morbidity.

As a person, you are empathetic, positive, and secure in individual meetings with the people you meet, and you have a good ability to work independently and build trust. You are communicative, team-oriented, and have a strong drive to support and motivate. The position also requires a good portion of flexibility as you help each other with cases within the housing support group.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. This is because many of your tasks involve receiving instructions and conveying information in a correct and clear manner. We assume you have a certain digital maturity in computer and mobile usage as we use this as a work tool, among other things for documentation.

• A B-driver's license is required.
• You must be able to work irregular hours.
