Gudmundrå School is a secondary school with approximately 340 students, centrally located in Kramfors with good transport connections. We are now looking for a special needs teacher or special educator who wants to help create a school where every student succeeds based on their own conditions – in an important role focused on preventive, supportive, and developmental work.

Job Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher or special educator with us, you have a very important role and function. In your daily work, you work with students in need of special support and/or other needs. You plan and carry out promoting and preventive student health work together with the student health team, and work on identifying, assessing, and investigating students' needs for support and adjustments.

You mentor teachers, build trusting relationships with staff, students, and guardians, and coordinate interventions that are necessary for our students to get optimal conditions for development. The work also includes a constant focus on assessing, investigating, and mapping students' needs in close collaboration with other teachers to give every student the best conditions.

You carry out support interventions at both individual and group levels.

You actively participate in the development of the school's pedagogical work and organizational development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree as a special needs teacher or special educator.

As a person, you need to have good skills in collaboration, analysis, and structure. The position also means that you can work independently as well as together with others towards established goals. Commitment, solution-focus, and innovation are qualities we value.

You show skill in identifying and communicating development needs at the individual, group, and organizational levels, and can work both remedial as well as promoting and preventive. You have a good ability to analyze and identify support needs and can translate this into pedagogical interventions and action plans.

As a person, you are secure, sensitive, and have good collaboration skills. You can work independently and structurally while also having a good ability to collaborate with both students, colleagues, and guardians.
