The main task of the Culture and Leisure Committee is to promote cultural life and create conditions for diverse sports and leisure activities. The culture, sports, and leisure activities in the City of Mölndal share a common foundation in people's need for context, stimulation, and creativity. By meeting these needs, culture, sports, and leisure activities form a basic prerequisite for people's opportunities for engagement and influence in a vibrant society. Culture, sports, and leisure are for everyone, with a focus on children and young people.

The Culture and Leisure Administration in Mölndal consists of three departments; Sports, Leisure and Public Health, Library, Museum, and Culture, as well as Administration. This position is part of the Sports, Leisure and Public Health department and the Sports and Association unit.

The Sports and Association unit is responsible, among other things, for renting out the city's sports facilities, distributing association grants, and collaborating with the association sector, the general public, and other actors to create the best possible conditions for broad and rich sports and active living in the City of Mölndal. Additionally, collaboration and development take place with relevant parties internally and externally, focusing on the best possible conditions and solutions.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Leisure Consultant for the Sports and Association unit. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with various actors, both internally and externally. A large part of the work consists of service and support to associations and internal operations. Furthermore, there is extensive cross-administrative collaboration, for example with the City Service Administration (operation, maintenance, and property-related issues).

The association sector in Mölndal organizes many events annually, and this position includes coordination and dialogue between organizers, associations, and relevant administrations.

The position includes coordination and support in facility and property-related issues within the Culture and Leisure Administration. It also involves following up on fault reports and purchasing equipment.

The assignment also includes investigation and processing of certain association grants.

You will work to promote the conditions for the association and sports sector and contribute together with colleagues to developing the conditions for children and young people's active leisure time at the city's sports and cultural facilities.

The Leisure Consultant will be part of the Sports and Association unit and will also be responsible for conducting meetings with various sports representatives, which is of great importance for creating the best possible conditions for sports, exercise, and association life in the city.

You will also, together with other stakeholders, develop forums, routines, and opportunities for activities at the city's sports facilities in close dialogue with the city's sports associations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have at least a 3-year upper secondary education and substantial experience of sports and association activities under municipal management. Experience of association life and its conditions within the sports and leisure area is important, as is good knowledge of the conditions and needs for both association life and spontaneous sports, primarily for children and young people.

To succeed in the assignment, it is important that you are social, service-oriented, and meticulous. You take initiative, work independently, and at the same time have good collaboration skills. Being able to express yourself well in speech and writing is important for this association person who wishes to become our new colleague.
