Your role with us

The on-call service is staffed by five nurses who work evening shifts. Two nurses are responsible for telephone advice, one of whom may also be called out to perform interventions in case of higher workload. The telephone role involves receiving and triaging calls from the operations regarding patients with municipal health and social care services, as well as assessing care needs and taking or referring appropriate measures.

As an on-call nurse in Kristianstad Municipality, you will work across all operational areas, including home healthcare, care and nursing homes, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), social psychiatry, and other municipal operations. The positions include scheduled combined shifts where you work both day and evening, and occasional night shifts may also occur.

The tasks are varied and may include:

• Sampling
• Dressing changes
• Changing central lines
• Injections
• Medication management
• Assessments in case of changed health status

The position is within the on-call service with working hours in the evening/day. In this recruitment, we work with rolling selection and will continuously invite interesting applicants for interviews.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with at least 2 years of experience. If you have several years of experience from home healthcare within municipal operations and have previously worked in on-call services, we consider this advantageous. You are familiar with IT-based medical record systems, and we assume that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Experience with the Lifecare documentation system is an advantage. A B-category driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.

Your personal qualities are very important to us, and we are looking for someone who has good communication skills, promotes a good work environment, and can work both independently and in a team. You can create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally, and you collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions. You should be able to prioritize and plan while having the ability to quickly adapt to the operations' needs for the day.

The operations of the Care Administration are directed towards the elderly and persons who need functional support, as well as persons in need of home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and social care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national upper secondary school, and the Assistive Technology Centre in Eastern Skåne.
