About the job

Boende Kvartetten consists of four group homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Kvartetten is one of the city's intrapreneurship operations, aiming to give staff more involvement in daily life. The operations work together with the goal of creating influence for our residents and staff, as well as promoting health.

The position is a three-month fixed-term contract starting August 1, 2026, involving a schedule with overnight on-call duties. We are looking for you who have a strong interest and commitment to working in a group home. We offer an interesting and stimulating job where the focus is on promoting the individual's prerequisites. We see ourselves more as guides than tour leaders, and we appreciate if you have an interest in pedagogy.

For the role, it is important that you have the ability to work independently and to contribute to a good work environment.

About you

We are looking for you who have a degree from the Care and Nursing Programme, the Support Staff Programme, or the Child and Youth Programme with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 YH credits, 120 university credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) nursing, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

You must master the Swedish language in both speech and writing, which requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements, you may be offered a language test through the test provider EducateIt.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in a similar role. Knowledge of Low-Affective Handling (LAB) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is also beneficial.

You take responsibility for your tasks and the group's tasks, thinking about those we serve and their best interests. You have the courage and ability to make independent decisions within the scope of your assignment without being dependent on others. You drive the work forward.

You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect, understanding the common mission, and working to make it as good as possible.

You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different prerequisites. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.
