Do you want to contribute to the further development of employment activities within social psychiatry? Here, you have the opportunity to make a difference for people with mental illness.

The employment activities in Huddinge consist of two units: Aktivitetshuset and Fleming. We target people between 18-65 years with mental functional impairment. Both units offer employment without and with support decisions. The employment aims to offer our users meaningful activities, and the units are permeated by the recovery perspective, focusing on the fact that the individual's own recovery process takes different amounts of time and is adapted to the person's wishes and needs. The employment can consist of activities in our assembly, kitchen, second-hand shop, music studio, carpentry, or creative workshops. At Aktivitetshuset, eight activity leaders work, and at Fleming, five activity leaders work. Two group leaders work together with the unit manager in these activities. Results from our user surveys show that our participants thrive and feel safe with us. You would become part of a team that highly values creating exactly the safety and sanctuary that our activity can be.

About the job:

We are looking for a substitute activity leader for 50% for 4 months for our employment at Aktivitetshuset to cover for regular staff absence. The task is to lead activities for users in our various operations; creative/painting, textiles, assembly, café and cooking, the second-hand shop, etc.

This work includes the start-up of new users, planning of individualized implementation, and structured activity leadership in both support-assessed and open parts. Within the framework of this assignment, you work as a contact person for some users based on their needs and wishes, the design of the order, and in consultation with other partners in the user's network. The work is permeated by the recovery perspective and with MI (Motivational Interviewing) as an approach. Your tasks include cooperation with the support handlers at the Social Psychiatry Unit, other service providers, as well as other internal and external cooperation. You will also, together with colleagues, group leaders, and the unit manager, be involved in the quality and development work of the activities. The work includes documentation in the activity system Lifecare. The work is carried out in close cooperation with and on behalf of the Social Psychiatry Unit.

Your profile:

You who apply are a social pedagogue, support pedagogue, mental health nurse, craft pedagogue, or have other education that the employer finds equivalent. You are a driven person with experience in creative and craft work, retail work, health activities, etc. You have experience of similar assignments within employment for the target group of people with mental disabilities and have a clear user perspective. Since we work on behalf of the social psychiatry unit, experience of and/or cooperation with an authority unit is a great merit.

You are receptive and also know that the alliance is an important and large part of the work. Just as important as setting boundaries when needed, as clarity can also be security. You are used to meeting people who are in a vulnerable life situation, where you, based on your knowledge and competence, feel safe in sometimes having to meet complex cases and have difficult conversations.

You have an easy time creating social contacts, are used to working in a structured and goal-oriented manner. You are also responsible, flexible, and self-reliant, and give the user the support they need to be able to reach their goals. Since continuous documentation is included, you are used to expressing yourself in writing and have experience of documentation. Since we sometimes go out on activities and excursions together with our participants in our shared bus, a driver's license is a desire. Great importance will be attached to your personal qualities.
