Job Description

We are now looking for a Method Supervisor (Handledare) for our High-Intensity Team! We are part of the Social Services Administration Hisingen and offer support to children, young people, and their parents. We are a unit consisting of ten family therapists, one method supervisor, and a unit manager, and we are currently seeking a method supervisor to join our team. Our unit works on behalf of the authority functions, providing qualified and intensive psychosocial treatment interventions for families with children and adolescents aged 0–18. The work involves implementing authority decisions with requirements for legal security, a common approach, and equality.

As a Method Supervisor, your main responsibility is to lead and distribute the work within the groups and to ensure close, supportive, and accessible leadership for the employees. You provide guidance in daily work both individually and in groups, as well as follow up and evaluate the unit's ongoing assignments. Contributing to documentation and follow-up being conducted in a qualitative and legally secure manner is also part of the role. Furthermore, you ensure that the work at the unit is carried out based on current knowledge, proven experience, and high quality.

As a Method Supervisor, you will be responsible for method development and creating routines and functional processes in daily work. You will collaborate with our authority-executing colleagues, such as the first-level social secretaries at the unit, as well as with other resource units within the administration and other partners.

In your work, you will collaborate closely with the unit manager and participate in recruitment, onboarding of new employees, and salary reviews. The unit manager has responsibility for the work environment, but as a method supervisor, you have a clear focus on a good work environment and the development of the business. You will be part of Gothenburg City's method supervisor network and will have access to supervision.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a social worker (socionom) or have another education of 180 higher education credits that the employer considers equivalent. If you have further education in the field, it is an advantage. You should have several years of experience of open care regarding the target group, as well as good knowledge of children's and young people's development and needs.

We would like you to be well acquainted with the city's social services processes, and it is an advantage if you have experience of authority-executing social services based on the implementation of decisions. We believe you are structured, clear, and enjoy taking responsibility. You have the ability to see the whole picture in the organization. The work requires the ability to collaborate constructively with our colleagues and clients within our authority-executing units as well as other resources within the City. You value differences and understand that background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others.

We operate from a systemic theoretical approach, and therefore we would like you to do the same in your work. A significant part of our work involves documenting interventions and care assessments, so it is important that you can express yourself well in speech and writing and have experience with documentation. We use Treserva for our documentation.

Finally, we believe you are good at leading others and have an open, non-hierarchical, trust-building, and confidence-inspiring approach. As a method supervisor with us, you adopt a coaching approach that helps employees grow. We would like you to have previous experience as a leader.

Social Services Administration Hisingen is part of the social services in Gothenburg City. We are one of four social services administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.
