Job Responsibilities

Do you want to help develop cardiology within a medical clinic with ambition, forward-thinking, and good collegial relationships? We are looking for you who are a specialist doctor in cardiology and who want to contribute with knowledge, engagement, and a long-term perspective.

Cardiology in Växjö is in an exciting expansion phase. We are currently building a PCI lab where the goal is to perform our first angiographies in 2027. The operations have also recently been expanded by taking over pacemaker implantations from vascular surgery.

Here, you will meet a growing and competent work group. The clinic currently has five specialists in cardiology, five doctors who will soon complete their specialist training, and three ST-doctors in internal medicine who will start their ST in cardiology this autumn.

The operations include a cardiac intensive care unit with seven beds and a cardiac ward with approximately 14-16 beds. Medical intermediate care is also provided at the HICU, and the unit has two beds for MIMA patients. In addition, there is a broad outpatient and day care service.

The role also includes participation in development and quality work, as well as supervision and teaching, which is an important part of shaping the cardiology of the future.

We would like you to contribute to the clinic's on-call activities, where the extent and setup are adapted to your conditions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist in cardiology.

You are preferably also a specialist in internal medicine, as the majority of our specialists contribute to the clinic's on-call activities.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and communicative. You thrive in teams, find it easy to collaborate, and contribute with sensitivity and security in meetings with both patients and colleagues.

You need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
