About Us

The position will belong to Administrative Unit 1 within the Surgical East area, primarily located at the Sahlgrenska campus, where medical secretaries and administrators work with units under the Hybrid and Intervention, Anesthesia-Operation-ICU Sahlgrenska, and Anesthesia-Operation-ICU East operations.

Within the administrative unit, various projects are continuously underway aimed at development and improvement. We strive to give our employees great freedom under their own responsibility and continuously work to develop the potential that exists in individuals and in the group.

About the Job

As a medical secretary, you will have a varied workload where you are an important part of the team working to ensure patients receive good and safe care.

We strive for a function-based way of working where you will play a significant role in the flow across our different departments. The work involves administrative tasks in systems such as Melior, ELVIS, Orbit, PASIVA, SÄLMA, and TeliaACE, among others. You will also perform access requests for existing and new staff across all professions. Your duties include diagnosis classification/registration, patient registration, and booking in ELVIS. Speech recognition (TIK) is partially implemented.

Some telephone service and other administrative tasks may occur based on operational needs. This can include orders in the Marketplace, access requests, and work with supporting/controlling documents as well as minute-taking. As an applicant, you should have good IT skills and preferably an interest in IT issues, as we often assist other staff with various systems.

We are now looking for a medical secretary for the Vascular Surgery clinic. Vascular Surgery will expand its mandate in 2026, and your role will be an important part of the work moving forward. Your primary location will be Hybrid and Intervention, Vascular Surgery, at the Sahlgrenska campus.

About You

We are looking for you who have education in healthcare administration or alternatively have a corresponding approved medical/physician secretary education (400 YH).

You should enjoy working in a flexible manner. Since the position involves contact with many people daily, we assume that you have good collaboration skills, are accustomed to taking initiative, and can organize your work independently. You are meticulous and have a good attitude towards patients and colleagues.

You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, good IT knowledge, and are interested in being the administrative support for the operation.

We would like you to be accustomed to working with various IT tools.
