Personal Assistant for Daily Activities in Eriksberg – Full-time (40 hours/week)

About the Job

We are looking to strengthen our team working with a cheerful and playful young man with CP, mobility impairment, and autism. He is non-verbal but curious, inquisitive, and enjoys communicating through pictures. The autism diagnosis requires a calm and flexible approach, so you must be open to solutions that are not always the most logical. Interaction and communication are central to the role, and experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is advantageous.

Interests in daily activities include woodwork, music, communication, and swimming training twice a week.

About You

Do you have humor, patience, and initiative? Do you have an interest in music or a good sense for language? We value playfulness, positivity, and reliability in you as a colleague and assistant. You should be organized, forward-thinking, and positive, and enjoy swimming and sauna.

To handle the job, you need good body awareness and no issues with neck, shoulders, back, knees, or other pain problems. You must be stress-resistant, enjoy pool environments, and not get motion sickness from public transport. It is essential that you understand the respect and consideration required in family-oriented work. The workplace is completely smoke-free. We recommend having a few years of life experience after high school.

Desired Qualities

We appreciate self-drive and a desire to develop as an assistant while helping the young man develop according to his prerequisites. By bringing your own ideas and working pedagogically, you contribute to his daily life. The most important quality is your will – the will to take responsibility, the will to learn new things, and the will to engage. This creates high-quality assistance for our clients. As a personal assistant, you should be empathetic, flexible, and outgoing. Since the work involves support with transfers and training, good physical fitness is important. Education or experience in personal assistance is advantageous but not required.
