Parkskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) located in central Kristianstad, easily accessible by train, bus, or car. We actively promote student health through preventive and supportive measures. Our student health team consists of a school nurse, special education teacher, special needs pedagog, and counselor. Our development work focuses on language-enhancing teaching methods. We collaborate closely with our school librarian and our three after-school centers.

Your Role
The position focuses on teaching Swedish as a Second Language (SvA) in grades 2 and 3.
As a teacher here, you will inspire students to learn and take responsibility for their own education. With commitment and enthusiasm, you will create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and collaboration, demonstrating good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
Teaching is designed according to curriculum goals, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are key pillars. You hold positive and high expectations for students and adapt teaching to suit all students' levels, always focusing on the student's best interests.
Through dialogue, you build good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you stay updated on world events and the daily lives of young people. Alternative learning tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work within the team/school. You share responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.
If you are new to teaching, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work. Unqualified teachers may teach but cannot be responsible for the teaching. Grading responsibility lies with a certified teacher.
Who Are We Looking For?
We primarily seek candidates with a teaching license and eligibility to teach grades F-3 in mathematics, Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, English, social studies, or natural sciences in primary school. Secondarily, we seek candidates with university-level subject knowledge in Swedish as a Second Language. A university-level pedagogical education is an advantage. The position requires strong ability to teach children in need of special support, as well as the ability to support students in handling conflicts. Prior experience working in primary school or conducting teaching is preferred.
You have the ability to adapt teaching to each student's prerequisites, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calm working atmosphere, and a desire to learn. You are committed, enthusiastic, and have a genuine interest in the school world and how it is influenced by the outside world.
A key success factor is your ability to build trusting relationships both inside and outside school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader capable of critically analyzing your own and the team's working methods for continuous development.
You naturally use digital technology in teaching as well as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on set goals.
As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and well-versed, adhering to the ethical principles for teachers, and you have a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.
To allow us to assess your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If no qualified certified teachers are available, unqualified candidates may be hired on a fixed-term basis according to the Education Act. When we offer you the position, you must present an extract from the police record to enable us to hire you, in accordance with regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
