Responsibilities
Our intensive team is part of the Child Resource Unit and works with the target group of 0–18-year-olds and their families. The geographical focus is Angered, and we are organized under the Department of Family Clinic and Resources for Children and Adults, which is part of the Social Services Administration Northeast.
The Child Resource Unit's mission is to carry out support and treatment interventions with a focus on the whole family and their network. The goal is to help families find strategies to overcome difficulties, so that children and young people can remain in their home environment, function in preschool/school, and enjoy their leisure time. We meet families both in their homes and in the unit's own premises. To make the work as successful as possible and with high involvement from the families, we work with Feedback Informed Therapy (FIT) and Signs of Safety as platforms.
Our intensive team actively works to continuously develop the work of offering interventions in assignments with high acuity, where there is a need for flexible and intensive interventions. The team originally consisted of four family therapists, but we have expanded by two positions over the years. This is done partly to reduce vulnerability, but also to create space to take on assignments with more "traditional" family therapy. This is part of creating a good and sustainable work environment with opportunities for variation in the role.
As a family therapist in our intensive team, you are responsible for the entire intervention process in consultation with the assigned social worker. For these complex and intensive home-based interventions to be shaped in the most useful way, we see that you will need to work actively to activate other parts of the network. You will be part of tailoring interventions and will collaborate extensively with colleagues from both the resource units and other operations needed to meet the families' needs.
In addition to peer support, you have access to method supervision, close line management, and external process supervision. You are also offered training in FIT (Feedback Informed Therapy) and Signs of Safety, among other things.
You will be able to influence your working hours yourself. We apply flexible working hours, but you need to be available based on the family's needs, which may mean that you will need to work some evenings and early mornings.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a social worker or have other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience in family therapy and good knowledge of the social services' service provision and authority functions. You are trained in methods directed at children, young people, and their parents, with a focus on both strengthening interaction and developing parenting strategies. If you have further education or experience working with children aged 4–10, it is meritorious. Further education in systems theory as well as experience and training in the area of "Violence in close relationships" are also desirable, as well as training in working with networks. Since documentation is part of the work, it is important that you have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, as well as basic computer skills.
For the role, it is important that you are careful to meet the families in a way that creates a trusting collaboration. You are flexible and work consciously to utilize the resources that exist in the families' networks.
You are stable and secure and have good collaboration skills, both with families, colleagues, authority-functioning social workers, and external operations. We support each other in our mission and see it as a competence to be able to ask for help. Since we work with complex cases with high acuity, it is important that you are analytical and can quickly identify the core of a problem, see connections, and propose possible solutions based on that. We see innovation, diversity, and collaboration as prerequisites for success.
We warmly welcome your application!
