Description

The housing support service is based at Nordmannatorget in Kungälv and is organized into four work groups: Disability Team, Neuro Team, Psychiatric Team, and Addiction Team.

The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in the work group as well as with social secretaries within the administration. Together, we work on creating and following up on implementation plans, with a focus on strengthening the users' conditions for living as independent a life as possible. The position also includes cooperation with healthcare, social services, and other actors to ensure coordinated and individualized support.

You plan your workday both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues. The work group has broad competence and long experience in meeting the target group, which gives you good opportunities to receive support and develop in your work.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities involve providing individual support based on approved measures within the framework of the Social Services Act. The measure consists of support at home, contact with healthcare and authorities, as well as guidance and support to build and maintain a functional social life.

As a housing support worker, you will meet people with mental disabilities and/or addiction issues who live in ordinary housing.

Based on the assistance decisions granted to the individual, you use the working methods ESL (Evaluation, Support, Learning) and Case Management to support individuals in living an independent life. In meetings with users/clients, you use Low-Affective Interaction and MI (Motivational Interviewing) as conversation methods.

Qualifications

You have relevant education, preferably as a Support Pedagogue with a focus on psychiatry. It is meritorious if you have experience working as a housing support worker and have basic knowledge of social documentation, Case Management, ESL, MI, and LAB.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and accommodating in their interactions, has a good view of humanity, and values differences. You have a strong commitment to the target group while being able to set clear boundaries.

It is important to us that you are responsive and have good collaboration skills. We believe that with these qualities, you have a strong ability to help people grow and take responsibility. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

A Category B driver's license is required.
