Job Description

The communicators' mission is to support all departments in communicating the municipality's services and offerings to residents, employees, visitors, business owners, and others. The communication support involves both strategic and practical work in the form of advice, production, and implementation of communication initiatives. Today, we consist of three communicators and one communication manager.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a communicator who will support the municipality's departments in planning, producing, and implementing various communication initiatives. You identify what needs to be done, create communication plans, execute them, and follow up. You enjoy operational communication work and are a content producer yourself. As a communicator, you write texts for different target groups, create graphic materials such as brochures and advertisements according to the graphic profile, and create engaging content in the form of text, images, and video for the municipality's digital channels. Within the communicator team, we have different areas of responsibility, and your role will focus on digital media. As a communicator with us, you will work to ensure that communication is clear, coordinated, and contributes to the municipality's vision and set goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant higher education, for example in media and communication studies, or other relevant education or experience in communication that the employer considers equivalent. You should have previous experience working as a communicator and be accustomed to providing communication support to managers and employees, preferably within the public sector.

You must be able to write simply, elegantly, and understandably in Swedish for different target groups. Your knowledge of web publishing, design, image editing, and video editing is good. Social media is an important work tool that you master well. You are also a skilled content producer with a good ability to create target-group-adapted, understandable, and engaging content in text, image, and video. This requires that you can handle relevant tools for web editing, the Office package, and the Adobe package.

To thrive in the role of communicator, you should take responsibility for driving your own tasks within your area of responsibility while simultaneously being able to adapt to changed circumstances. The role involves collaboration with various departments, which means you should be good at creating and maintaining relationships with those you collaborate with. You should be able to see the big picture, contribute with new ideas, and be able to turn new ideas into reality.
