Description

Yrkesgymnasiet Täby is seeking, for the next academic year, primarily a certified vocational teacher qualified to teach subjects in Entrepreneurship, Hairdressing and Salon Knowledge, Hairdressing – Technique, Hairdressing – Treatment, Hairdressing – Advanced, Barbering – Technique, Barbering – Advanced, Entrepreneurship and Business, Hair Styling and Makeup Technique, Hair and Makeup – Continuation, as well as Sales and Customer Service.

You are also welcome to apply if you have at least five years of work experience from the hairdressing industry. Here, students learn a trade from the ground up on real work placements with experienced supervisors. In this position, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with the future hairdressers, barbers, and hair and makeup stylists. More than half of the students' education takes place on a work placement, giving them a stable foundation and an advantage on the job market. Our students are prepared in the best possible way for their future professional lives with the support of their supervisors and dedicated educators.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with qualifications to teach subjects on the Hairdressing (FR) program, or alternatively has at least five years of experience from the hairdressing industry and a strong drive to teach and supervise students.
• Is an excellent communicator and team player who can act as a bridge-builder between school, students, and the business community.
• Has a B driver's license and preferably access to a personal car.
• Has the ability to work independently while being team-oriented, collaborating with colleagues to best prepare students for their future professional lives.

Qualifications

A teaching degree or substantial experience within the hairdressing industry, along with a desire to inspire and develop the next generation of hairdressers, barbers, and hair and makeup stylists. Teaching certification and pedagogical experience are desirable but not mandatory.
