Job Responsibilities

You will be part of the support team that performs housing support in the municipality. In the work, you support the individual in daily life with a great focus on creating relationships and security in the person's own home.

In the work, you need to feel confident working with mental illness and co-morbidity, as well as having a good ability to assess situations and adapt the level of support based on new circumstances. You need to feel confident working independently as you visit people in their homes on your own.

You also need to have good teamwork skills as it is a given on the support team that we help and support each other.

To work together with the unit manager, team leader, and housing supervisor according to the goals and guidelines that exist for the operations.

You should provide support in the individual's daily life based on the person's needs through a professional approach, low-affective attitude, and clarifying pedagogy. You should also work according to the person's implementation plan and support colleagues in this work. You need to have previous experience of working with implementation plans to be able to develop this work and support colleagues.

You may work in several units within social psychiatry operations.

During the autumn, we will develop the Support Team with new working methods where you will be involved.

The role includes:

• Have contact person responsibility and work according to established routines within the contact personnel's responsibility.
• Draw up and work based on the person's implementation plan and update continuously based on needs in the contact person role, as well as being a support to contact personnel when working with implementation plans and goal work.
• Identify needs for changes in support for the person.
• Map needs for support for the person, together with the person identify needs for support and create and plan interventions and routines in the implementation plan, as well as supporting colleagues in this work.
• Guide and coach the person to use and develop their own resources to be involved in becoming as independent as possible based on individual needs.
• Individualize methods and support based on the person's needs, person-centered approach.
• Work independently; solo work is common.
• Perform health care tasks and self-care upon delegation.
• Report and document according to SOL, HSL, and support colleagues in the work with social documentation/HSL in Lifecare.
• Add a reflective working method and keep the value base alive.
• Have a conscious pedagogical attitude during all support for the persons.
• Create/follow the operations' routines and action plans together with the operational pedagogue and team leader.

Qualifications

As a Housing Support Pedagogue, post-secondary specialization in the field of social psychiatry is required: At least 200 university college credits or at least 60 university college credits. Alternatively, a combination in between that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies. The education must have a clear focus on the field of social psychiatry in its entirety. University studies corresponding to 60 university college credits can be parts of a vocational education (e.g., social work program, social pedagogical program, or social psychiatric care) or individual courses, but all 60 credits must have a direct connection to the area of operations.

We are looking for you who have an interest in working with people with mental and intellectual disabilities as well as substance abuse issues. You are passionate about working towards independence and enjoy working based on pedagogical methods.

You should have a positive view of people and be easy to collaborate with. Since problem-causing and challenging behavior occurs, you should have experience of similar work and have the ability to think preventively to minimize risks and threatening situations.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Meritorious if you have experience working with the method "An Independent Life".

Solo work occurs.

A class B driver's license is required, as well as actively driving a car.

Conditions

Scheduled working hours. On the support team, this means primarily daytime, but evenings and weekends occur.

Upon employment, the employer will request an extract from the Criminal Record Register.
