Do you want to become part of an organization where you have the opportunity to develop, influence, and make a difference together with engaged colleagues?

Here, you work in close cross-professional collaboration where knowledge, participation, and innovation are valued. We offer varied and meaningful work in an organization that puts the person at the center and provides you with good conditions to grow in your professional role.

Responsibilities

In the role of Occupational Therapist in Malmö City, you create good conditions for individuals to live as independent a life as possible. Here, you are part of a team where you collaborate with nurses, physiotherapists, and care staff, and participate in care planning. The work is based on the individual's needs, personal prerequisites, and participation.

As a licensed occupational therapist, you work with ADL (Activities of Daily Living) and activity assessments, as well as assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative measures. The role also includes supervising other staff in a rehabilitative approach and testing and prescribing technical aids when necessary.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist (180 ECTS credits) and want to contribute to a secure and meaningful everyday life for residents of Malmö in our care and nursing homes. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good digital competence. Since the work involves traveling between different care and nursing homes, you must also be able to cycle.

As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and structured, seeing opportunities that lead to good holistic solutions. You contribute with innovative ideas and want to actively develop the operations. With good teamwork skills, you are communicative and relationship-building, have a listening and professional attitude, and can take a pedagogical and supervisory role in delegated tasks.

Experience working in care and nursing homes, within municipal operations, or in the occupational therapy field is meritorious.

The Workplace

Here, you become part of a competent and engaged rehab team where occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehab nursing assistants work closely together to provide Malmö residents with the best possible support and rehabilitation. We operate from our premises at Gasverksgatan 9, which is also the location for this position.

As a new employee, you will receive an introduction adapted to your previous experience and needs so that you feel secure in your role. You will also have the opportunity to develop continuously through Malmö City's wide range of courses, lectures, and training.

In the Health, Care, and Social Services Department, with our approx. 5,500 employees, we are Malmö City's second-largest department.
