Järfälla Adult Education and Activity Responsibility operates municipal adult education under both authorized and independent management, and works with the municipality's activity responsibility, KAA. The operations are divided into "Ung och Vux vägledning" (Youth and Adult Guidance), focusing on the application and admission process as well as KAA, and Järfälla Learning Center.

Do you want to make a real difference for young people who are outside work and studies? We are strengthening our outreach work for the target group aged 16-24 and are therefore looking for an engaged youth coach who wants to help develop future support for this group. The position is located at Ung och Vux vägledning in Jakobsberg, close to commuter trains and buses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an outreach youth coach with us, you will be part of the development work within the municipality's activity responsibility (KAA).

In the role of outreach youth coach, you work to establish contact and build relationships with young adults aged 16-24 who are neither working nor studying. The outreach work aims to increase accessibility to the activities, inform about the support measures offered, and create trusting relationships characterized by voluntariness, trust, and respect. A key part of the assignment is to identify needs and motivate the target group to contact relevant authorities and services, with the long-term goal of approaching work or studies. You contribute to the development of the activity's communication channels and the selection of relevant forums to reach the target group.

You also work actively to strengthen collaboration and interaction with other actors in the municipality who encounter young people outside work and studies. You have a broad network and collaborate closely with other units in the area, including the social services, field assistants, police, the city's mobile order officers, leisure activities, and others who meet the target group.

Examples of tasks:

• Perform outreach, mapping, motivational, guidance, and follow-up work
• Collaborate with other actors
• Provide conversations, support, and counseling to young people and guardians in various life situations

The work may involve some evening and weekend duties depending on the needs of the activity.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are outgoing and have a genuine interest in the target group, with a good ability to create and maintain contact. The role requires that you can meet each individual based on their unique situation and work long-term to create continuity and presence in the environments where the target group is present.

You are self-reliant and structured, allowing you to plan, follow up, and document measures in a legally secure manner. At the same time, you are flexible and can adapt your working methods based on the young people's individual needs and changing situations. You have a holistic perspective on the young person's life situation and can see how different measures and actors collaborate to create conditions for approaching studies or work.

Requirements:

• Ongoing or completed university degree in behavioral or social sciences, or another university degree combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant.
• Experience in relationship-building work directed towards young people living in vulnerable situations
• Experience collaborating with civil society and other actors working with the current target group
• Good knowledge of motivational work
