About the role
We are currently looking for an Interim Director of Administration at one of Stockholm's higher education institutions. The assignment involves overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and developing the institution's administrative operations, as well as providing qualified support to the Dean and the management team within HR, finance, business control, and administration.

The role includes responsibility for personnel-related matters, financial monitoring and analysis, as well as business development. It also involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal guidelines. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the organization's managers and administrative functions within a public and international academic environment.

Assignment period and scope
The position is a consulting assignment covering 80–100% of full-time hours, starting on August 10, 2026, and is expected to last until June 1, 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Requirements for the position:

• An academic degree of at least 180 ECTS credits in HR, economics, or administration (or another equivalent field) combined with long and documented experience in qualified HR work.
• At least five (5) years of documented experience in a managerial role with formal personnel responsibility.
• Experience in independently handling HR issues at the management level.
• Experience leading administrative operations within the public sector.
• At least five (5) years of experience in business control, including budgeting, monitoring, and financial analysis.
• At least five (5) years of experience in HR-related tasks such as labor law, cooperation, recruitment, and personnel development.
• Experience working in a management team.
• Experience in operations governed by state regulations.
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• Language proficiency must be at least: Swedish: Level C1 according to CEFR; English: Level C2 according to CEFR.
• During the last five (5) years, completed at least one (1) assignment in a managerial role within a knowledge-intensive organization with more than 50 employees.
• Leadership experience from a complex academic environment, such as a university college, university, authority, or other public operation.
