About the Department

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) in Lund/Eslöv has over 100 employees and consists of three outpatient clinics, two of which are located in Lund. Assessments, treatment, and neuropsychiatric investigations are performed at the clinics. BUP Lund serves children and adolescents up to 18 years of age and their families in eight municipalities. The area also includes an intermediate care clinic and a unit for deaf psychiatry.

We are currently in an exciting development phase focusing on well-established standardized processes and innovative technical-digital solutions. Our development initiative stems from our desire to provide children and adolescents with good psychiatric care and to collaborate constructively with our partners. We are also keen on supporting the whole family when needed.

We aim to achieve development through a stepwise care approach regarding both investigations and treatment, as well as continued work with our standardized care processes. By implementing more modern and efficient working methods, we hope to help more children and adolescents who need our interventions. Refining and improving our care processes and routines is second nature to us, where decision-making paths are relatively short and fast. We take responsibility, support each other, and help out. Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Secretary, your main responsibilities are to organize and structure the administrative work surrounding patient visits, including registrations in various systems such as WebPASIS, Melior, and 1177, as well as handling telephone calls. Your duties also include providing administrative service and support to the treating staff.

At our clinic, you are the face of the organization, and it is you our patients meet when they visit or call us. Your tasks consist of standard secretarial duties such as printing medical record notes, mail handling, referral management, and patient registration, as well as invoice handling, scheduling, and reviewing and following up on statistics. There is also an opportunity for independent responsibility with other administrative tasks. You will actively contribute to the development and improvement of both routines and collaboration methods.

We offer flextime and the possibility to work from home. We work daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

We welcome you if you have education in Healthcare Administration (80 YH credits or 400 YH credits), or equivalent medical secretary training. Additionally, you have good knowledge of medical terminology and good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You are computer literate and handle all parts of the Office package skillfully. Experience with healthcare administrative systems is meritorious.
