Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Bromma District Administration offers you a workplace where your efforts can truly make a difference and contribute to the public good in a growing district. Here, active employee engagement and clear leadership are the foundation for a developing operation.
Welcome to us
Are you interested in developing together with us?
With us, you will find competent colleagues who always step up – and who know that laughter (and coffee breaks!) make the job more fun.
We are currently seeking a temporary substitute social secretary for the Child and Youth Reception Unit to cover planned parental leave.
The unit is part of the Social Services and Leisure Department, Children and Young People Area within Bromma District Administration. The area is led by a district manager and is divided into four units, each with its own unit manager. The Child and Youth Reception Unit consists of two groups with a total of 14 social secretaries, 2 group leaders, and 1 administrative assistant.
Children's participation is a central part of our work, and we have several child rights advocates responsible for safeguarding children's rights. The current unit consists of employees who have a positive attitude towards their work. We support each other and create job satisfaction even in difficult situations.
The Child and Youth Reception Unit is undergoing exciting changes where, in addition to traditional reception work and rapid investigations, we have introduced several new functions linked to the new Social Services Act. We have begun working more proactively and preventively.
The unit is part of the First Line Social Services, which is an initiative to get closer to our target groups and offer earlier interventions. The introduction of first line social services is the first step in a long-term development of Bromma's social services.
We offer
We offer you good employment benefits such as competence development, fitness subsidies, flexible working hours, and holiday swapping. Read more about our benefits here. Working from home is possible when the work allows.
As a new employee, you are offered a good introduction with our mentor, regardless of previous professional experience. We have an introduction plan that is followed up regularly during your first period with us, and we offer you close supervision with good opportunities for development.
We within the Children and Young People Area in Bromma:
- Actively participate in the transition to the new Social Services Act.
- Participate in several forms of collaboration with internal and external actors, for example, other areas such as police, healthcare, and schools/preschools.
- Regularly follow up on your social work environment through "Bromma Conversations".
- Offer external supervision.
- Provide opportunities for further education at both basic and advanced levels.
Your role
In your role as a social secretary, the assignment involves receiving reports and applications concerning children and young people aged 0–20 years, as well as being responsible for preliminary assessments in these cases. We are looking for you who have a strong child and youth perspective.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- Completed a social work degree (socionom).
- Knowledge of current legislation and experience in handling child and/or youth cases supported by BBIC. The work is conducted according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and other current legislation.
- Experience working in a reception group.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Education and experience in BBIC.
- Experience in authority enforcement within child and youth care.
- Knowledge of the database system Paraply.
- Category B driver's license.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Since the work usually involves meeting people in crisis and/or with complex life situations, it is important that you can see opportunities, convey hope, and treat people in a respectful manner.
As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and stable. You have good empathetic skills and can create good collaborative relationships. You are structured and confident in your professional role and place great emphasis on secure case handling.
