Your role

As a school social worker, you are part of the School Social Team (SST) and your task is to help students and guardians structure their daily lives. The work involves formulating and following up on goals based on the connection between the student's school attendance and academic results, providing psychosocial support to the student, meeting and maintaining contact during the school week, and following up and breaking down work into short-term goals. The assignment involves collaborating with key actors within and outside the district administration. You will be one of five school social workers, and together you will operate in the district's primary and lower secondary schools (grades 4-9). During interviews, we will tell you more about how you practically work as a family therapist in the school social team, in close collaboration with the schools.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who are a social worker. You have solid experience of collaboration with different business areas and you also have several years of experience in psychosocial change work.

Meritorious for the role is that you have experience from social services and training in step 1, parental support programs such as ABC and KOMET, as well as NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).

It is also meritorious to have knowledge and experience of coordinating teams with different competencies. You work independently but form a team with the school staff in each individual assignment. The work requires flexibility regarding working methods and openness to working with different professions. On rare occasions, it may be required to work outside regular working hours. You need to have very good cooperation skills with a well-developed network thinking. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the ability to fit into the group and complement the group's competence.
