About the workplace

We are currently looking for several support assistants for temporary positions at the group homes on Björklövsvägen and Skepplandavägen. The group homes belong to the same cluster, with the same manager, and consist of three units. As an employee in the cluster, you belong to one unit but can be scheduled at others if needed. In one of the houses, we have on-call sleeping duty.

The group home on Björklövsvägen is located in Älvängen, and the group home on Skepplandavägen is located in Skepplanda. The residents have decisions under the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and the operations are based on respect for the user's self-determination and integrity. We work from a salutogenic approach, where every individual should have a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful everyday life. In your work, the needs of our residents should always be in focus.

The cluster consists of 38 employees, and we currently have some vacancies due to parental leave.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant, you will work close to the users and, together with your colleagues, implement interventions according to LSS decisions. Therefore, you need to be well acquainted with LSS legislation.

The residents have different functional variations, so you need knowledge and experience in low-affective handling, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and experience working with people within the autism spectrum. The main task is to make everyday life meaningful and ensure they have a lifestyle that allows them to live like everyone else.

The role includes supporting users in formulating goals based on the implementation plan as a step towards increasing user independence. You need to feel confident in social documentation and have experience working with implementation plans.

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in their professional role and has experience with the target group.

In the role, it is important that you take responsibility for your tasks, plan, organize, and can prioritize your work. Ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is required as documentation is part of the work.

The position involves varying working hours, including days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a positive view of humanity and a good value base. You should have the ability to create good relationships and to empathize with another person's situation, wishes, and needs to be able to work from a user perspective and put the individual's needs at the center. Having a respectful attitude towards colleagues and users is a matter of course for you.

Merits for the position include knowledge of the documentation program Treserva. Knowledge of low-affective handling, clarifying pedagogy, and dementia.

We are looking for someone who is structured, responsible, and has an unpretentious approach. You find it easy to cooperate with others and enjoy challenges. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Since we have access to a car, a B-driver's license is a strong preference.
