The Department of Intensive and Perioperative Care at Skåne University Hospital in Lund offers anesthesia care, surgical care, postoperative care, and intensive care. Here, patients are cared for before, during, and after their operations. The primary focus of the surgeries is highly specialized surgical, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), and orthopedic surgery. Approximately 150 employees work within operations and anesthesia here.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

We welcome an Assistant Nurse who wants to become part of our dedicated team at Surgical Operations in Lund. In your role, you work with the goal of making the patient feel safe and secure both before and during the operation. Here, we work in cross-professional teams together with nurses and doctors. As an Assistant Nurse with us, there is an opportunity to work within all specialties such as surgery, orthopedics, and ENT.

As a new employee, you are offered an individually adapted introduction where we base our approach on your previous experience and competence. At our unit, we have two training days in medical technology as well as four development days per year. With us, you become part of an exciting and developing ward characterized by a wonderful atmosphere. We apply a business-adapted preference schedule with quota time, where working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as an Assistant Nurse and meet the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure, preferably with a focus on healthcare/emergency care. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. If you have previous experience in surgical care, it is a great advantage.

Since we work with the patient in focus, it is important that you are good at collaborating and appreciate teamwork. Employment type: Permanent position.

If you were employed as an Assistant Nurse on a permanent basis on July 1, 2023, and lack proof, attach your employment certificate as well as your grades (not just a diploma) from your Assistant Nurse education.

If you do not have the proof, you may be employed as a Care Assistant on a fixed-term basis, pending the proof.
